Description
Linn Radikal DC motor and power supply
Radikal replaces the LP12’s AC motor with a DC motor under precise electronic control. It checks the platter speed as the record turns and corrects it, so the speed stays steady through changes in stylus drag and bearing friction.
Switching between 33⅓ and 45 rpm is electronic, and Radikal also gives a clean, regulated supply to the Urika and Urika II phono stages. This standard version shares its motor and speed control with the Klimax Radikal, which adds a machined aluminium enclosure with more refined regulation.
