Hear the wonder-full Linn 343 loudspeakers at Hidden Systems

We are delighted to announce that we have the stunning new Linn 343 loudspeaker available to listen to at our Ascot showroom.

The 343 is a compact reference loudspeaker that incorporates Linn’s latest technologies.

It features a moulded composite cabinet available in a choice of six finishes. With its rounded shape, the stiff and dense cabinet provides rock-solid stereo imagery and a wide listening area.

Available in a choice of six finishes, 343 is available in Exakt and PWAB (Passive with Aktiv Bass) versions.

343 is the first loudspeaker to be designed from the outset around Linn’s Pistonik bass units, which fire downwards providing a deep, textured bass that integrates perfectly with the clear accurate midrange and treble.

The electronics are housed in a passively cooled module, suspended on three springs for mechanical isolation. The module is powered by Linn’s flagship Utopik power supply.

Both versions feature an 8 inch bass unit, driven by Linn’s Power DAC.

The Exakt version is designed exclusively for use with Linn DSM players with Exakt ports. It features built in power amplification with Adaptive Bias Control (as featured in the Klimax Solo power amplifiers) and Organik DACs.

The PWAB version has a by-passable built in crossover for you to connect your own power amplifiers of any brand, via Exakt boxes if required.

Naim Exchange Programme

Naim pride themselves on being able to offer superb service backup for their older products – amplifiers from the 1970s can still be serviced and repaired by Naim at their factory in Salisbury.

Digital products can present more of a challenge – the technology moves on so quickly that older streamers are sometimes unable to be repaired cost-effectively and cannot always benefit from the latest developments.

Fitted as standard since 2020, Karousel is the third incarnation of Linn’s unique patented single point bearing – the component at the heart of the LP12 and the component that gives it the biggest sound quality advantage over its competitors.

Linn Pistonik Drive Units

In their pursuit of perfection, Linn engineers discovered that the limiting factor in their flagship loudspeakers was the bass drivers. Whilst these were among the best available, like most independent hi-fi manufacturers, Linn has buys in its loudspeaker drive units from a handful of specialist suppliers.

When off-the-shelf DACs were found to be limiting the performance of the Linn Klimax DSM, Linn set about making their own, and Organik was born.

Pistonik raises the game for loudspeakers in the same way that Organik set the standard for DACs.

Designed in house over a period of three years by Linn’s amazing engineers, Pistonik has lower distortion and greater accuracy than other drive units of similar size.

The three factors that make Pistonik better than anything that has gone before it are:

Pistonik Motor System

The whole motor assembly is in permanent magnetic saturation. This reduces distortion, improves speed and responsiveness and make it easier for your amplifier to drive.

A triple layered ventilation network allows air to move silently through the motor structure, keeping the motor cool with no audible air turbulence.

Superior Suspension

Pistonik’s suspension was designed using advanced multi-physics simulation to create a system that is perfectly predictable and under complete control even at extremes of excursion.

Materially Better

Pistonik uses a beautifully finished hard aluminium diaphragm, which is light, strong and rigid. The resonant frequency is higher and its amplitude lower.

Pistonik drive units are fitted as standard to the 360 loudspeakers manufactured from April 2026. Owners of older models can have the Pistonik Upper Bass Units and Woofers fitted to their existing loudspeakers. The cost of this upgrade is £16,500.

New Finish for 360

To coincide with the launch of Pistonik, the 360 is now available finished in a walnut veneer, bringing the total number of standard finishes to seven.

The 360 with Pistonik retails for £99,500 for the Exakt version with inbuilt amplification, or £67,000 for the Passive version With Aktiv Bass.

Linn Klimax LP12 Event – 27th November

On 27th November we will be joined by Paul Carlin from Linn who will be explaining the technology behind Linn’s latest developments to the LP12, including the new Keel SE, Klimax Radikal and the Bedrok plinth. You will be able to compare turntables fitted with these upgrades to a top-spec LP12 from five years ago so you can hear for yourself how much better the latest and greatest Klimax LP12 sounds.

The event will take place on Thursday 27th November at our showroom at The Old Court House, London Road, Ascot, SL5 7EN. There will be three sessions: 3pm, 5pm and 7pm.

New Linn Klimax LP12 upgrades

The top level Klimax LP12 can from today be improved to levels not yet heard before with the introduction of the Keel SE subchassis and the new Klimax Radiakl Utopik.

Launched in 2006, the original Keel set new standards for LP12 subchassis design. Keel SE builds on this by taking advantage of Finite Element Analysis technology that was not available back in the day to give a subchassis that is even more rigid and better balanced than the original, with improved resonance control. The new Klimax Radikal features machined casework sharing styling with contemporary Klimax level electronics, which gives improved electrical and mechanical isolation. Also included is a bespoke Utopik power supply, which improves the performance of the motor control circuitry, and the Urika phono stage. Of course, the only way to really learn about the improvements that these astounding new products can make is to hear the difference with your own ears. At Hidden Systems we can provide comparitive demonstrations between Klimax LP12s with the original Keel, the Keel SE, Radikal 2, the new Klimax Radikal and the new Bedrok plinth.
