New Rega Nd3 Available Now

Today Rega has launched the first of their new range of handmade Moving Magnet (MM) phono cartridges.

Replacing the Elys 2 in Rega’s range, the Nd3 is the world’s first Moving Magnet cartridge to use a Neodymium 55 rare earth magnet, which provides more power. Hand made in the UK, the Nd3 uses a newly designed perfectly symmetrical generator which has better high frequency response and less crosstalk than other cartridges at this price point.

In a world where everything is getting more expensive, it is a welcome surprise to learn that the new Nd3 is £175, the same price as the old Elys 2.

As well as being a great upgrade for owners of the Elys 2, the Nd3 will offer a big step up in performance for turntables fitted with the Rega Carbon or other budget cartridges.

It is available to order now, and comes in 100% recyclable packaging. Later this year it will be available as a factory fitted option for the Planar 2 and Planar 3 turntables.
